The mission of Shelby County Health Department is to promote, protect and improve the health and environment of all Shelby County residents. To achieve this mission the Health Department is committed to providing the three core functions of public health (Assessment, Assurance and Policy Development) and is organized to maximize its ability to provide all residents of this County the following Essential Public Health Services.
